Frasso began his pro career in the Blue Jays organization and was dealt to L.A. at the 2022 deadline, but after garnering some top-100 prospect attention, his career was set back by a shoulder surgery that cost him the entire 2024 season. He battled more injuries in 2025, and has ultimately pitched a modest 107 1/3 innings over the last two seasons.
At least the strikeout potential came back in a big way for Frasso this year, as he has a 35.3K% over 30 1/3 innings with the Dodgers’ and Rockies’ Triple-A affiliates. The downside is a 13.2% walk rate and a 4.15 ERA, yet such numbers aren’t unexpected in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League. Now a full-time relief pitcher, Frasso’s fastball velocity has jumped from 94.6mph in 2025 to 96.3mph this year.
With Antonio Senzatela and Victor Vodnik both elsewhere, Colorado is in need of extra bullpen arms as the team plays out the string of another losing season. There should be plenty of opportunity for Frasso to establish himself as a big league pitcher and get himself into the conversation for a job in next year’s bullpen.
