Three people were taken to area hospitals after a boat flipped over near Morgan Point Beach along Lake Michigan, according to Chicago fire officials.
A Chicago Fire Department spokesperson said at around 7:45 p.m. on Monday, a boat with seven people onboard flipped over in the 4400 block of South DuSable Lake Shore Drive. Three people were transported to local hospitals in good-to-fair condition, officials said.
Four others refused to be taken to the hospital.
The Chicago Police Department’s Marine Unit also responded to the scene.
