ROCHESTER, N.Y. – If you’re tired of the muggy and showery weather we’ve had lately, you’re going to love the weather for the short term! High pressure moving in will continue to dry our air out and clear out sky out. We’ll become mostly clear tonight, with temperatures dropping into the mid and upper 50s. Tuesday looks like the best day of the foreseeable future. We’ll see an abundance of sunshine, low humidity and seasonably warm air in the lower 80s.
An area of high pressure becomes anchored in the Atlantic over Bermuda, which will help to funnel more humid air up the coast and into our region for the remainder of the week. That means our humidity will start to increase on Wednesday, and thus our rain chances will start to go up. Wednesday will start off dry with a good deal of sun, but clouds will tend to thicken a bit in the afternoon, with the slight chance of a shower by afternoon and evening.
Dew points will rise into the upper 60s and lower 70s for the remainder of the work week and into the weekend. More humidity will lead to scattered showers and thunderstorms Thursday and Friday, before a slight drying trend into the weekend.
