Prince Harry has extended yet another olive branch to his father King Charles III in his latest effort to reconcile with the monarch.
The Mirror reports that Charles has will be invited by the organizers of the 2027 Invictus Games to attend either the opening or closing ceremony of the week-long event.
They write, "The prince's plan could see the monarch join him at major events during the Games."
Harry is the patron of the Invictus Games, which are due to be held in Birmingham in July.
The Duke of Sussex and his wife Meghan Markle traveled to the UK last month for events that marked the one-year countdown to next year's Games, but their much-hyped visit to Harry's home country is said to have fallen far short of the couple's expectations.
It was a 'nightmare week' for Prince Harry, who learned during his stay in the UK that he had lost his court case against Associated Newspapers, and will mostly likely have to pay millions of dollars in legal fees.

Meanwhile a source close to Meghan said there was a “lot of sadness” on the duchess’s part with regard to how her and Harry’s week in the UK unfolded.
Another source close to the couple said that Meghan would have felt “humiliated” as the back-and-forth between Harry’s team and the palace unfolded ahead of their return.
A claim by Harry’s team that he would be staying at Buckingham Palace was followed only fifteen minutes later by a statement by the palace that he would not in fact be staying at the royal residence.
Royal sources said the Duke of Sussex had been made aware that the offer to stay at Buckingham Palace had been withdrawn because he had not accepted the offer on time.
In the end Meghan pulled out of all the Invictus engagements she was supposed to attend alongside her husband, and was not once seen in public while she was in the UK.
Eventually it was agreed that Charles and Queen Camilla would receive Harry, Meghan and their children for tea at Highgrove House on the express condition that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not to leak any details of their meeting to the press.
This meant that Harry and Meghan did not secure the coveted ‘money shot’: a picture of their children with their grandfather the king, which would have given their image in the US a much needed boost.

It seems that the reunion, however brief, has given Harry new hope that he and his father could pave the way to a more public reconciliation.
The Mirror writes that Harry "has been buoyed by the emotional reunion with his father, alongside his wife Meghan and their children, earlier this month for the first time in four years."
A source has revealed that Harry wants more meetings between the monarch and his grandchildren to take place going forward.
An insider said, "“Harry’s intention is two fold. He would love the King’s support at the Games, while having his father by his side would also add considerable weight to his argument for security for his family to accompany him on the trip. “
In the meantime, Harry is set to return to the UK in September for the WellChild Awards—and this time he will reportedly accept the king's longstanding invitation to stay at Buckingham Palace.
