Rashid Latif revealed that PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi had previously spoken with Younis Khan. Latif urged the PCB to make better use of Younis Khan's experience. He believes Younis Khan can play a major role in improving Pakistan's cricket structure and developing young players.
"Some time ago, Mohsin Naqvi called Younis Khan, and I thought that would bring a major change to Pakistan cricket. But so far, nothing has happened. Through this program, I want to say that if Pakistan cricket wants to move in the right direction, then Younis Khan must be made part of Mohsin Naqvi's mission."

Rashid Latif also expressed concern over Pakistan's recent decline across formats and urged the PCB to trust honest and experienced former cricketers.
"Legends like him are job seekers and are looking for roles in the Pakistan Cricket Board. We need people like Younis Khan who work honestly, put the country first and themselves second. Otherwise, we have gone far backward in the last two years. We are ranked seventh in Tests, sixth or fifth in ODIs, and ninth in T20Is. These are rankings we never even imagined."
Younis Khan opened the Cricket Academy to help revive grassroots cricket in Karachi by providing young players with quality coaching, modern facilities, and professional guidance. Pakistan also could strengthen the country's cricket structure if they receive support from the PCB and other stakeholders.
Younis Khan Remains Pakistan's Greatest Test Batter
Younis Khan is Pakistan's highest run-scorer in Test cricket and the only Pakistani batter to score more than 10,000 Test runs. During his career from 2000 to 2017, he played 118 Tests and scored 10,099 runs at an average of 52.06, including 34 centuries and 33 half-centuries.
