At least three people have died after a head-on crash involving at least four different vehicles Friday night in Kendall County.
According to Illinois State Police, a driver was attempting to pass multiple vehicles on Illinois 71 near Walker Road in Millbrook just after 9 p.m. Friday when they struck another driver head-on.
Ultimately a total of four vehicles were involved in the crash, police said, and the roadway was closed for more than eight hours as police worked to clean up the wreckage and investigation the collision.
In all, five individuals were brought to area hospitals, and three were pronounced dead, according to state police.
The roadway reopened shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday, but no further information on the crash was immediately available.
