Whenever the Bears get around to building their new stadium complex, it should have enough indoor and outdoor practice space for fan attendance. I don’t think I need to work hard to imagine the property at Arlington Park having enough space to accommodate outdoor practice fields for training camp, while also providing the flexibility to use the team’s stadium for practices on days that have inclement weather. As for the Hammond site, reporting in June suggested that the Northwest Indiana property might not have as much space as once believed. Also nestled in Fishbain’s story is that injuries limited Amegadjie’s ability to compete more at camp. And his time on the practice field was limited during the season because he ended up on injured reserve after being inactive for the first two games of the season. And because I think this coaching staff is willing to work with players who want to put in the work, Amegadjie’s arc will be worth following for the rest of the summer. Some names that would interest me as a Bears fan: Patriots EDGE Bradyn Swinson, Bengals DT McKinley Jackson, Steelers RB Kaleb Johnson, Chargers EDGE Kyle Kennard, Cowboys EDGE Sam Williams. There are others, but I didn’t want to go too deep down that rabbit hole. With that being said, I do find it worth pointing out that Infante’s list includes five edge defenders and a defensive tackle. My read on that is we could see the Bears active on the waiver wire or perhaps with trades later in the summer.
