It hasn't always been easy getting access to episodes of The Walking Dead and its various spin-offs in the UK - but that all looks about to change with a new Netflix deal.
The beloved franchise has secured a long-term streaming future on Netflix, with a new global agreement that expands it into fresh territories including the UK.
Netflix and AMC Global Media have struck a multi-year licensing deal, reported to be worth about $500 million (£390m), that hands Netflix co-exclusive streaming rights to the original series plus all six of the spin-offs, covering around 371 episodes in total. The arrangement is set to run until 2032.
Crucially, the agreement is set to bring the flagship series to markets including UK, Italy, Australia and New Zealand. In the UK, Sky and NOW have traditionally been home to The Walking Dead.
Lori Conkling, vice president of licensing at Netflix, said: "Audiences have discovered and loved The Walking Dead on Netflix for nearly 15 years and the show continues to attract new fans.
"We’re excited to partner with AMC Global Media to continue to expand that access to more audiences around the world and bring the entirety of The Walking Dead Universe to Netflix."

The launch dates will be staggered. Netflix will keep US rights to the original series and add the major international territories, while from 2027 it will become the global streaming home for the six spin-offs, with launch dates varying by territory as existing local licences expire.
View Green Video on the source websiteAlmost 16 years after the series began, The Walking Dead also continues to expand. Dead City season 3 premiered this month, following Maggie and Negan in a post-apocalyptic Manhattan.
Meanwhile, Daryl Dixon season 4, tracking Daryl and Carol, is expected in autumn 2026. It will be the final instalment of the spin-off, with actor Norman Reedus recently bidding farewell to the iconic character and promising that the new episodes will "hit hard". Buckle in!
