Another week, another Fortnite update, and with The Simpons Reload, this one is going to be a big one.
The first time The Simpsons landed in Fortnite late last year, it was one of the best mini-seasons the game had seen.
So, what’s coming to the game today for round two? Here’s everything you need to know about today’s Fortnite Simpsons update.
Fortnite update today (30 July): The Simpsons x Fortnite Reload
Today’s Fortnite update centres around the return of The Simpsons crossover as part of Fortnite Reload.
The cel-shaded Simpsons map will make a return to the game, with an additional 10th POI added, which some leakers have reported will be the Springfield Retirement Castle.
This was supposedly in development for the first Simpsons mini-season, but for whatever reason, didn’t make it into the final map.
The Simpsons Reload map will support 50 players instead of the usual 100, so you can expect matches to fly by much faster.
Along with the map, you can expect all sorts of Simpsons content to make a return, like Mr Blasty, Krusty Burgers, Mr Burns Mystery Box and more.
We’ll also likely see the return of some of The Simpsons skins from the first time around, but we’re also getting some new cosmetics, including a John Wick skin in the style of The Simpsons.
With John Wick joining the fray once more, we’re getting a new area of the map for The Confidential, a parody of The Continental hotel from the series, which will act as a neutral area with passive healing.
As well as all that, we’ll also see the customary balance changes and tweaks, such as solo Reload players now being able to earn additional reboots by damaging opponents, and chests restocking over time.
