So, hearing him gush about Caleb Williams certainly feels significant. And if there are two things I’ve learned about the coach’s pressers, it’s that praise is often followed with a statement that says, “but you can still do more.” For me, it is reminiscent of a teacher who pushes you harder than other students because they know there is another level you can reach.

I also love that Johnson lays out what he wants to see from Williams moving forward. He even used specific language, too. Pointing out that he wants consistency throughout a 60-minute game is something the Bears’ head coach has been harping on all offseason. If Caleb can turn the corner and deliver the consistency that his coach seeks, he — and the Bears — will be better for it.
