LOMPOC, Calif. – Lompoc Police officers identified the victim of a July 18 fatal stabbing as 58-year-old Miguel Angel Cortez-Baez, a Lompoc resident.

Cortez-Baez died after a 17-year-old boy stabbed him at the 400 block of North G. Street around 2:30 p.m. on the aforementioned date, according to the LPD.

    Lompoc Police later investigated the teen's home and found an extensive amount of evidence, though the contents of said evidence remained undisclosed.

    The investigation remains ongoing and the LPD encourages anyone with additional information to contact their agency.
