Dexter Morgan is heading back to New York, and the first look at Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection is already giving fans plenty to dissect.
See what we did there?
Paramount+ has released new first-look images from the upcoming second season, and one of the biggest surprises involves Dexter's son, Harrison Morgan, played by Jack Alcott.
Harrison appears to be following a very similar path from his serial-killer father.
In one of the new images, he's wearing a police uniform, suggesting he's getting closer to the world of law enforcement as he continues his own pursuit of justice.

Paramount+ has confirmed that Harrison will be working with Fiona Mixon, a homicide-unit training officer played by Nona Parker Johnson.
Then there's the donuts.

Harrison is seen bringing a box of donuts into the precinct, a detail that feels like a deliberate nod to Dexter's longtime habit of showing up at Miami Metro with treats for his coworkers. Dexter's donut routine was one of the ways he maintained his harmless, friendly façade while secretly living a very different life.
Could Harrison be unknowingly following in his father's footsteps, or is the show setting up a very different kind of Morgan?
Dexter, meanwhile, is still very much Dexter.
Another image shows Michael C. Hall sitting down with Charley, played by Uma Thurman. Charley returns for Season 2 after leaving New York at the end of Season 1, when she turned against billionaire serial-killer enthusiast Leon Prater (Peter Dinklage).

And longtime Dexter fans have another reason to be excited: Joey Quinn is back.

Desmond Harrington returns as the former Miami Metro homicide lieutenant, and Paramount+ lists Quinn among the Season 2 returning cast.
Season 2 will find Dexter caught between two killers: the notorious New York Ripper, played by Brian Cox, and the Five Borough Killer, played by Dan Stevens. But father and son are ready to face what Paramount+ describes as their darkest chapter yet.
A premiere date hasn't been announced yet, but season one of Dexter: Resurrection is available to binge on Paramount+ only with the Paramount+ Premium Plan.
