ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Jewish Film Festival kicked off its 26th year this week.
The festival director said this is a great opportunity for the community to experience film while learning about new cultures. The opening film was “Tovah,” a 60-minute biographical documentary about Broadway legend Tovah Feldshuh.
Feldshuh attended the opening night screening.
“A French director named David Serero came up to me and said, ‘I would like to do a film about you, a documentary,’ and I said, ‘Are you talking to me?’ I looked over my shoulder,” Feldshuh said.
The festival runs through Aug. 2.
