The award-winning series chronicles the experiences of mothers who have incarcerated children. Tosha Smith-Mills created the documentary, and her son Christopher Horn directed it.
Smith-Mills shares the struggles and advocacy of these families, starting with her own story. She also talks about what she plans to do next.
Rochester Attorney Cheryl Kates also appeared on the program. She represents one of the young men profiled in the documentary, though his family did not want to be identified.
News10NBC’s Lynette Adams hosted the discussion with Smith-Mills and Kates.
