ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Saturday is the final day of the 7th Black Culture Festival at Parcel 5.
The event celebrates community, culture and music in downtown Rochester. This year’s theme is homecoming.
The founder told News10NBC education is big and he wanted to honor the Black community by celebrating Black educators and do it like homecoming. “When we do homecoming we do it big. So this year we wanted to honor our educators and we wanted to just give some shine to education in the Black community,” said Will Powers.
The free festival features entertainment and local vendors. If you want to head out and take part, you have until 8 p.m.
