Brett Sobieraski started his challenge last Saturday, the day the area dealt with torrential rain. He ran through the downpours but it damaged his feet.

On Thursday, he was advised to go to the emergency room and found that his blisters were infected and he was in the early stages of cellulitis. But Sobieraski’s supporters continued the run, finishing up Thursday’s 55 miles and then covering Friday’s 55 miles too.

If Sobieraski gets the okay from doctors, he’s planning to run his remaining laps Saturday at Albion High School starting at 8 a.m.
