Bands on the Bricks (Friday)

The Bands on the Bricks concert series will continue on Friday at the Rochester Public Market. The band BBDANG, with special guests Stunt Double, will take the stage. There will also be a craft show at the market.

The concert is happening from 6 to 10 p.m. Bands on the Bricks has been running for over 25 years. Here’s the lineup for the rest of the season:

Movies in the Park (Friday)

The Movies in the Park series continues on Friday with a screening of “Zootopia 2” at the Seneca Park Zoo. The series started back in June, screening family-friendly movies at popular spots around Monroe County.

Most screenings begin at dusk. For movies at ESL Ballpark, gates will open at 7 p.m. Here’s the schedule for the rest of the series:

Black Culture Festival (Friday and Saturday)

The seventh annual Black Culture Festival returns to Parcel 5 in downtown Rochester on Friday and continues on Saturday. The festival will include live music, a family fashion show, roller skating, community awards, and a celebration of Black educators.

More than 50 local businesses, food vendors, and community organizations will be there. It runs from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday and noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is free. You can see the full schedule here.

Ribs & Rhythm (Sunday)

Ribs & Rhythm returns for a second year to Parcel 5 on Sunday. There will be slow-smoked ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and more barbecue dishes from around the region.

Canandaigua Art Show (Saturday and Sunday)

Over 150 artists will be at Kershaw Park near Canandaigua Lake this weekend for the 53rd annual Canandaigua Lakefront Art Show.

Artists will sell their handmade work, fine jewelry, ceramics, photography, woodworking, glass, textiles, and more. There will also be food vendors and community organizations. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free, and you can see the full schedule here.

Flower City Tattoo Convention (Friday and Sunday)

Around 200 professional tattoo artists are coming to the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. The Flower City Tattoo Convention starts on Friday and runs through Sunday.

Guests can watch tattooing demonstrations and speak with artists specializing in all kinds of tattoo styles, including American Traditional, Japanese, and Neo-Traditional. There will also be seminars and tattoo awards.
