Unfortunately, the band's run came to an end after S.O.D. officially disbanded in 2007.
Reflecting on the split, Ian recalled that what began as a side project eventually felt more like a "job" than a passion project.
Speaking to Mammoth Metal TV, Ian stated about his time with S.O.D.: "I've only really fond memories of anything I've done with S.O.D. That being said, I just felt like we did too much,” he told Mammoth Metal TV as cited by Blabbermouth. “For me, it's something that was always something very, very near and dear to my heart, something that I've always carried very close to the vest, as they say.”
Despite their relatively brief run, Stormtroopers of Death left a lasting mark, cementing their legacy as one of metal's most influential supergroups.
