ROCHESTER, N.Y. – We’ll enjoy a great end to the work week thanks to a large area of high pressure planted over the Great Lakes. This will bring us another mainly clear sky Thursday night with temperatures dipping into the 50s again. Keep those air conditioners off and windows open and let Mother Nature do the cooling for you tonight. Friday also looks great. After a cool and comfortable start, we’ll warm back into the upper 70s and lower 80s by the afternoon with plenty of sunshine once again.
There will be lots of dry time this weekend, but we’ll start to see some rain chances returning, especially on Sunday. Saturday looks pretty good. Highs will be climbing into the mid 80s under a mostly sunny sky. A little more moisture on a southerly wind will bring some more clouds in by the afternoon, and just the slight chance of a stray shower or two. Sunday will feature a better chance for a few scattered showers, possibly a rumble of thunder. Temperatures both days will reach into the lower to mid 80s.
We’ll start to turn up the humidity again by the first part of next week. Dew points will climb back through the 60s into the lower 70s, which will also help to support a better chance of some scattered showers and storms. So it’ll turn a little more unsettled into early next week, after a nice stretch of quieter weather.
