’80s Metal Band, Disbanded for 21 Years, Announces 2026 Tour

Forbidden, the Bay Area thrash metal band, is ending a decade-and-a-half wait for U.S. fans after announcing its upcoming tour.

Following two lengthy hiatuses totaling 21 years, the five-piece band, composed of lead vocalist Norman Skinner, guitarist and founding member Craig Locicero, guitarist Jeremy Von Epp, longtime bassist Matt Camacho and drummer Chris Kontos, is set to embark on its first extensive U.S. tour in years.

    The Chaos By Design Tour will span 23 dates, kicking off in Las Vegas, Nevada on Oct. 23 before making stops in major cities across Utah, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Florida and more.

    The highly anticipated comeback tour will conclude in California on Nov. 22.

    Forbidden also announced that it is bringing “good friends” and fellow thrash metal veterans Heathen and Void along as special guests.

    The band’s last major tour was the Omega Wave World Tour, which ran from 2010 to 2011 in support of its fifth studio album.

    At that time, Forbidden performed extensively across North America, South America and Europe, including high-profile festival appearances.

    Alongside the tour announcement, Forbidden once again surprised fans with a major update.

    The metal band announced releasing a new self-titled album, which will arrive on Oct. 23 via BLKIIBLK.

    In addition to the album announcement, the metal band unveiled its latest single, “Psyclops.”

    The highly anticipated record will be the band’s first album in 16 years following the release of its fifth studio album, Omega Wave, in 2010.
