NEWARK, N.Y. — Firefighters quickly brought a fire at the Ultralife Corporation in Newark under control. According to firefighters, nobody was hurt and the fire remains under investigation.
The call came at around 5:56 p.m., and Newark firefighters arrived at the scene of a working fire. They confined it to the inside of the building. Firefighters from Lyons, Fairville and Phelps assisted.
As of 7:15 p.m., the fire had been extinguished and firefighters were clearing smoke, according to the first assistant chief.
