    How do I get GrapheneOS?

I didn’t want to chance bricking the Pixel 10 Pro XL in case the process didn’t go smoothly due to something I might do wrong. So, I pulled out our Pixel 7 Pro to use as the guinea pig. I also want to point out that in addition to needing a Pixel for this setup, it’s also a good idea to have a good cable. Not all USB-C cables are created equal and having an unreliable one can cause the entire process to fail. Once you have all the required elements for setup, just follow this guide.

    Required Elements

    Installation Instructions

    Step 1: Enable Developer Options

    Before your computer can communicate with your Pixel, you need to enable Developer Options.

    On your Pixel:

    Open Settings Tap About phone Scroll down to Build number Tap Build number seven times Enter your PIN or password if prompted

    Step 4: Open the GrapheneOS Web Installer

    Using a supported Chromium-based browser, visit:  grapheneos.org/install/web

    The official web installer walks you through the process and handles most of the complicated steps automatically.

    Supported browsers include:

    Google Chrome Microsoft Edge Brave (disable Brave Shields during installation) Other Chromium-based browsers

    Make sure you are using the official GrapheneOS website. Do not download installation files from third-party sources.

    Step 5: Connect Your Pixel to the Web Installer

    Once the installer opens:

    Connect your Pixel if it is not already connected Allow the browser to communicate with your device if prompted Follow the instructions provided by the installer

    The installer will guide you through putting your Pixel into the bootloader interface.

    Step 6: Unlock the Bootloader

    The first major step is unlocking the bootloader.

    In the GrapheneOS installer:

    Select Unlock Bootloader Confirm the action on your Pixel
