CHAMPION — Arthur E. Kirschman Jr., 89, of Champion, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Shepherd of the Valley Liberty.
He was born March 15, 1937, in Bethel Park, Pa., a son of Arthur E. Sr. and Dorothy (McGibbeny) Kirschman.
Arthur was a graduate of Thiel College and he worked as a teacher at Alden Elementary School in Warren.
He was very active at St. John Lutheran Church and will be missed by his church family.
Arthur is survived by his son, James J. Kirschman; and his sister, Linda (Bruce) Brickelmyer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary M. Kirschman; sister, Caroline Groves; and brothers, Alan and Duane Kirschman.
Services will be held at noon on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at St John Lutheran Church, 5734 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren, OH 44483, where Pastor Tammy Duty will officiate. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Champion Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that people make donations to St. John Lutheran Church in Arthur’s memory.
Carl W. Hall Funeral Home has been entrusted with Arthur’s arrangements.
