Smith is a depth piece for the Wildcats who rushed for 322 yards and 5 touchdowns last season while with Garden City. He’s also a threat in the passing game, having totaled 14 receptions for 183 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Smith is originally from South Carolina and was a 3-star prospect out of Calhoun County High School, totaling over 60 touchdowns across his prep career.
Smith is set to enter a room that includes Texas transfer CJ Baxter, Oklahoma transfer Jovante Barnes, returner Jason Patterson and Martels Carter. The Wildcats are set to enter Year 1 of the Will Stein era with an unproven, yet talented offense led by Notre Dame transfer Kenny Minchey.
The Wildcats kick their season off on September 5 vs. Youngstown State.
