’90s Metal Band, Split for Seven Years, Announces News on 2026 Tour

Neurosis teased fans with a major update ahead of the legendary band’s scheduled 2026 tour appearances.

Following their return this year after last performing together in 2019, the long-running avant-garde metal group continues its return to the stage with shows booked for July, September and October.

With a mix of festival appearances and headlining performances lined up, Neurosis announced a special two-night hometown headlining run at The Fillmore.

In an Instagram post, the band shared the details of the shows, including the dates and venue.

“Neurosis will be playing two nights at the historic Fillmore in San Francisco on October 16th and 17th to celebrate their return to the Bay Area,” the caption read.

As anticipation builds for the upcoming performances, the metal band announced that tickets for its two-night headlining run are now available to the general public.

The performances follow the release of their comeback album, An Undying Love For A Burning World.

The California-based band’s thirteenth album was released in March, marking its first record in 10 years since Fires Within Fires was released in 2016.

Following the release of the eight-track studio album, Neurosis revealed what prompted the band to reunite and perform again after years of being apart.

"We need this, perhaps more than ever, and we suspect we are not alone,” the band’s statement reads, cited by Louder Sound, “The trials and tribulations in our personal lives and as a band, combined with simply trying to navigate the insanity of our society, with the stress, anxiety, and isolation that come with it can be excruciating. Add to that the existential confusion and sorrow of the climate crisis and the sixth mass extinction.”

Moreover, the band said creating music and performing has always been its outlet and believes now is the right time to reunite and continue expressing itself through music.

"It is enough to cause you to completely lose your mind if you can’t find release or catharsis,” the band added. “This strange emotionally charged music has always been our method of trying to survive this and this is what we’ve always been singing about. When you have spent a lifetime engaged with these energies and utilizing this form of expression to purge and purify, it feels detrimental to our well-being to let it sit idle and neglected. This was now or never."

In the wake of its return, Neurosis is set for festival appearances, including Fire In The Mountains in Montana, a guest appearance at Acid Bath's headline event in North Carolina and a two-date headlining show.
