CHARLOTTE, N.Y. — Abbott’s Ice Cream celebrated 100 years on Friday.
The frozen custard stand on Lake Avenue in Charlotte drew a large crowd for its centennial celebration. The summertime staple was decked out for the milestone anniversary.
For the owner of Abbott’s, the anniversary is about more than just ice cream. “You know the custard is a part of it but its the traditions that people have developed over the years is what brings them back,” said Gail Drew.
She told News10NBC there is a secret recipe started by Arthur Abbott that she won’t reveal.
