“Major League Baseball and the Chicago Cubs today announced the 2027 regular season schedule. The Cubs will open the 2027 season at Wrigley Field on Thursday, March 25, against the Cleveland Guardians. It marks the second consecutive year that the team opens the season at Wrigley Field.
The Cubs have one 10-game homestand in 2027—September 9-19 vs. Cincinnati (four games), Baltimore (three games) and New York-N.L. (three games)—marking the longest homestand of the season. The Cubs will have one, three-city road trip in 2027 taking them to Colorado (June 18-20), San Diego (June 21-22) and San Francisco (June 24-27), with a scheduled doubleheader against the Padres on June 22.
The 2027 schedule is highlighted by interleague play against every American League team including the annual home-and-home with the Chicago White Sox, which features a pair of three-game, weekend series July 16-18 at Wrigley Field and August 6-8 at Rate Field.
In addition to the season-opening series against the Guardians and the home games against the White Sox, the Cubs interleague schedule includes hosting the Texas Rangers (April 9-11), Seattle Mariners (May 7-9), Kansas City Royals (May 25-27), Boston Red Sox (July 30-August 1), Tampa Bay Rays (August 13-15) and Baltimore Orioles (September 14-16).
The Cubs are scheduled to host three holiday games in 2027 at Wrigley Field: Easter, March 28 vs. Cleveland; Mother’s Day, May 9 vs. Seattle; and Independence Day, July 4 vs. St. Louis.
