ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The state has issued an air quality advisory for Western New York and the Finger Lakes on Wednesday because of smoke from wildfires burning in Canada.
The entire region has “moderate” air quality on Wednesday morning, according to AirNow’s air quality tracker, which means some sensitive groups may be at risk. With a cold front moving through, the smoke higher in the atmosphere could come to the surface and make the air quality worse.
