ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police are trying to determine what led up to multiple shots being fired on Chili Avenue near Thorndale Terrace on the city’s southwest side on Wednesday.
Officers responded around 1:45 a.m. after getting a ShotSpotter alert. Police say they detained several people during their investigation and found a 16 year old with a loaded gun. RPD charged him with criminal possession of a weapon and says he may face additional charges.
No one was hit by the gunfire. Police are asking anyone with information that can help with their investigation to call 911.
