Chicago police are investigating after a woman’s body was found in a garbage can in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.
According to authorities, the discovery was made in an alley in the 700 block of West 54th Street on Saturday at approximately 6:25 p.m.
Police say a woman’s “highly decomposed” body was found inside of the trash can, but no further details were immediately given.
An investigation is underway, and no arrests have been made.
