CLYDE, N.Y. — The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reported that a Village of Clyde man has been arrested following an investigation into reported animal cruelty that started in March 2025.
The sheriff’s office says Travis Ryan, 37, was arrested on an arrest warrant. He was charged with 13 counts of overdriving, torturing, or injuring animals/failure to provide sustenance.
Deputies say he didn’t provide clean and safe shelter and food/water for 13 dogs for at least 24 hours, seven of which were puppies.
The dogs were found in a room at a condemned location, and deputies reported finding one empty water bowl and dog food spread across the ground, mixed with animal waste and garbage.
The sheriff’s office said the dogs were taken by the Wayne County Humane Society, where they were treated.
Ryan is held at the Lakeview Correctional Facility on other charges, according to WCSO, and was taken to the Town of Galen Court for arraignment.
