A suburban high school student went missing over the Fourth of July holiday weekend and hasn’t been seen since, according to school officials.
Oak Park and River Forest High School issued an alert to families with a bulletin from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, saying one of their students has been missing since July 5.
“If you have any information that may assist in locating the student, please use the contact information provided in the bulletin to contact law enforcement,” the letter from the school read.
Vera L. McDonald, 14, was last seen in Oak Park on July 5, but few details on her disappearance have been released.
She is described as having brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is being asked to call Oak Park Police at (708) 386-3800 or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678
