Shania Twain announced some exciting news.
The legendary 1990s country singer revealed that a new song from her upcoming studio album, "Faded Blue Jeans," will be out on streaming platforms this Friday. This will serve as the third single before the release of Little Miss Twain, out on July 24, and is a collaboration with Josh Homme.
"Faded blue jeans / Big holes in the knees / Had ‘em ever since I was 17," Twain teased on her official X account on Wednesday.

— Shania Twain ??? (@ShaniaTwain) July 8, 2026Born Eilleen Regina Twain, but best known as Shania Twain, the musician was born and raised in Canada. Twain started her professional music career in the early 1990s, signing with Mercury Nashville Records. Since releasing her first song, "What Made You Say That," in 1993, Twain has sold over 100 million records, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time and the best-selling female artist in country music history.
Throughout her career, Twain has received five Grammy Awards, two World Music Awards, 39 BMI Songwriter Awards, inductions to Canada's Walk of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Little Miss Twain is her follow-up to her 2023 album, Queen of Me. During an interview with SiriusXM's The Pulse, Twain revealed that many of the themes of the tracks are inspired by her youth and childhood. When talking about "Faded Blue Jeans," she says that the song is inspired by young love.
"Thinking back to when I was probably about 12 and in puppy love, and how I was determined to resist letting go of my love if the parents didn't approve. It was quite dramatic, you know, falling in love when you're 12. So, the song's all about that," she shared.

"A lot of Little Miss Twain is reflective of my teens, my roots as well as the energy of the rock and R&B I loved so much, but still with that Western twang," Twain wrote in a press release. "Where I’m from, you don’t go anywhere on a horse — you go on a snowmobile. I was dreaming about the Western lifestyle and I was living in a very different world than where I ended up."
"Faded Blue Jeans," featuring Josh Homme, will be out on streaming platforms this Friday. Meanwhile, Little Miss Twain will be released on July 24.
