When does Marvel Rivals Season 9 launch?
The Marvel Rivals Season 9 release date is Friday 10 July, the developers have confirmed.
That's right, folks. Marvel Rivals Season 9: The Mystery of Thebes will launch this Friday with a slew of new content.
But what exactly will it entail? Allow us to explain below.
What's new in Marvel Rivals Season 9?
The new season introduces a whole new location in Thebes. The new Convoy map is similar to the Empire of Eternal Night and Tokyo 2099 maps, which sees players compete over a moving convoy in a vibrant Marvel location.
Alongside the new map, Season 9 brings 2 new heroes: The Hood and Jubilee.
Jubilee will be a Strategist with the "Mutant ability to generate bursts of pyrotechnic plasma," as per the official description.
The Hood is also set to join the roster later in the season, though they're keeping his abilities under wraps for now.

Alongside the new map and heroes, Season 9 marks one of the biggest updates to the game yet.
We can expect a range of balance updates across the roster, including major changes to Black Widow. These updates mainly involve balancing the heroes abilities by removing the ADS sniper mode and improving her primary attack, so no need to worry if Black Widow is your main.
Team-up abilities are getting a major overhaul, giving every hero 2 independent Team-Up loadouts. This overhaul sees tweaks to existing abilities as well as some wholly new additions.
Season 9 is also bringing us a brand new game mode in Path to Doomsday: Age of Ultron. The new game mode takes heroes to Avengers tower where players will take on Ultron and his army. What Avengers: Doomsday secrets could this hold?
