School Tax Rebate program meeting
The New York State Office of Real Property Tax Services is holding a seminar on Wednesday to help homeowners learn about the School Tax Rebate (STAR) program. The meeting runs from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Henrietta Public Library on Calkins Road. To attend the meeting, you must register here.
New homeowners can learn how to enroll in the STAR program, and those who are already enrolled can learn when they could expect property tax relief. Staff will be available to answer questions and help homeowners register. You can also learn how to register for STAR or update your STAR information here.
Concerts by the Shore
The 40th season of Concerts by the Shore continues on Wednesday with a performance from Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. The Grammy-winning orchestra will hold a free concert at the pavilion in Ontario Beach Park, starting at 7 p.m.
There will be a different concert every Wednesday through Aug. 26. All other concerts, except the RPO, start at 7 p.m. The series kicked off on June 3. Parking is available at the beach. Food vendors will be there. Here’s the schedule for the rest of the concert series:

An 8K race along the Genesee River is happening on Wednesday evening. It starts and finishes at Genesee Waterways Center on 149 Elmwood Ave., and it’s part of the Run585 Race Series. All three races in the series start at 6:15 p.m. You can register here. There will be barbecue after the race.
