Soon-to-be White Lotus star Charlie Hall recently shared the most heartwarming reason why he thought his mom Seinfeld icon Julia Louis-Dreyfus was actually famous.
"It's funny, I don't remember when I sort of figured out the Seinfeld of it all, but I do remember when I was really young, I was convinced that my mom was famous for like just being a mom," he said in a Jenna and Sheinelle interview on Tuesday.
Hall, 29, who is currently starring in Apple TV's Maximum Pleasure, and was just 1 year old when the iconic sitcom wrapped, went on to explain that "I thought people were asking for her autograph and stuff because she was my mom. I don't remember when that switched, but I do remember being surprised when other moms wouldn't get [asked] because I'm like, 'Wait, they're also moms, what's going on here?'"
Fast forward and Hall has been following in his mom's footsteps, first by attending her alma mater of Northwestern University and now going on to star in several TV series including Ryan Murphy's Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.
When it came to scoring a coveted role on The White Lotus, Hall recalled the moment he shared the news with her.
"I called her, and she was with my dad, and I remember her kind of being [like], 'He got it, he got it, he got it, he got it,'" he said. "It was really, really sweet. She's just so stoked, really just excited for me to be on a show of this quality, just because it's really, really, really good."

The HBO series, which has followed a changing cast of characters during their hotel stay at 'The White Lotus' for three seasons now, will head to Cannes, Saint-Tropez, Monaco and Paris for its fourth installment. Along with Hall, the series will also star Laura Dern, who will be replacing Helena Bonham Carter after she exited the show,Sandra Bernhard, Steve Coogan and Kumail Nanjiani.
"It's so good, and Mike White is incredible," Hall said of the series' creator. Louis-Dreyfus shares Hall with husband, actor and filmmaker, Brad Hall. The couple, who got married in 1987, are also parents to Henry, 34, a musician and also an actor. ?
