We haven’t seen a picture of it yet, but the designer behind Taylor Swift‘s wedding dress says her custom look was the result of an intimate, joy-filled collaboration. Dior creative director Jonathan Anderson spoke to WWD on Monday (July 6) about designing the gown that Swift wore to her wedding to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce at New York’s Madison Square Garden on July 3.

“It was a joy to work with her. We became very good friends,” Anderson told the fashion magazine. “It’s an emotional thing doing someone’s wedding.” While official photos of the wedding have not yet been released, after the ceremony Swift’s team confirmed that the couple, both 36, wore custom Christian Dior Haute Couture for the ceremony.
“The bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom,” read a statement confirming the couple’s nuptials. “This is the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity.”
The note also mentioned that Swift and Kelce both wore custom Christian Louboutin shoes and the singer was decked out in Cartier jewelry.
In keeping with the military-grade security around the party for a reported 1,000 guests, no video or photos have been leaked so far from the wedding, which was officiated by comedian Adam Sandler and reportedly featured Paul McCartney playing the Beatles “I Want to Hold Your Hand” live for the first time since 1964; sources also reported that Fleetwood Mac singer and solo star Stevie Nicks performed as well.
Guests have also kept their lips zipped (at least on the record) about the goings on in the home of the 2026 NBA world champion New York Knicks, though Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, teased out some details during an appearance at the city’s annual Macy’s Fourth of July fireworks event, where she said, “I really can’t say a heck of a lot except it was magical, man. Magical.”
