Lauren Bennett, a beloved singer who is best known for her feature on the hit LMFAO song "Party Rock Anthem," has died at the age of 37.
The news was released in a statement by her former band GRL.
"It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren," they said. "Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us. We will forever cherish the love, laughter, and countless memories she gave us. Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Bennett began his career at the age of 18, forming the Paradiso Girls in 2007. She then began her solo career in 2010, working with talented artists including CeeLo Green, will.i.am, and LMFAO. She later joined the group G.R.L., but they disbanded in 2015.
This comes after Simone Battle, another member of G.R.L., died in 2014, with her cause of death being ruled suicide. She was 25 years old.
“You can never prepare yourself for something like this, ever,” Bennett said in an interview with PEOPLE following Battle's death. “We’d just been in rehearsals the day before, learning choreography for our show, and the next day we were starting the morning as usual when we got the call. I still can’t believe it. I don’t think any of us can. It’s weird that we’re even sitting here, talking about it.”
“We learned so much from her,” Bennett added. “In the video you can see her passion for performance, and you can see her strumming along to the music in the beginning. It’s us showing that she’s still part of the group. She’ll always be part of this group.”
