Cairo, Egypt, July 3, 2026 — EY Middle East and North Africa (EY MENA) has launched a regional consulting and technology hub in Egypt, with plans to create more than 1,000 new job opportunities over the next three years, supported through collaboration with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).

The hub — EY Consulting MENA – Egypt Talent Hub — will deliver technology and consulting services from Egypt to clients across the Middle East and North Africa, as the firm expands its regional delivery capabilities.

The launch was discussed during a meeting between Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Raafat Hindy and senior EY MENA executives, as part of efforts to support the growth of high-value digital services exports.

The meeting was attended by Omar Odeh, EY MENA Consulting Leader; Ahmed Elzaher, Chief Executive of ITIDA; Mahmoud Sofrata, ITIDA Vice President; and Tamer Abul Azm, EY Egypt Consulting Leader.

The expansion is expected to generate more than 1,000 jobs in consulting and advanced technology services, including cybersecurity, data analytics, artificial intelligence, digital engineering, and more business services.

The discussions build on a memorandum of understanding signed between ITIDA and EY MENA, establishing a framework to support the company’s expansion in Egypt, talent development, and the growth of digital and consulting exports.

Eng. Raafat Hindy said the move reflects Egypt’s position in offshore technology services. “The establishment of a regional consulting hub by EY MENA reflects the competitiveness of Egypt’s offshoring sector, particularly in high-value services,” he said.

EY plans to deliver a range of services from its Egypt hub, including business consulting, risk advisory, human capital transformation, and technology strategy, serving clients across the region.

Omar Odeh said Egypt represents a strategic location for the firm, citing its skilled workforce and proximity to key markets. He added that cooperation with ITIDA will support knowledge transfer and the localization of advanced services.

Ahmed Elzaher said ITIDA will continue to support global companies expanding in Egypt through talent development and workforce readiness programs. “The expansion strengthens Egypt’s position in offshoring and global service delivery,” he said.

Tamer Abul Azm said the expansion will contribute to developing a new generation of Egyptian consultants capable of supporting complex transformation projects across the region.

EY MENA has operated in the Middle East and North Africa since 1923 and today employs more than 8,500 people across 27 offices in 14 countries.
