ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Police responded to multiple scenes across downtown Rochester after 4th of July fireworks.
Dozens of police cruisers filled the streets throughout downtown, including East Ave. and Broad St. Reports indicated people may have been stabbed and shot, though police have not yet confirmed those details.
On Savannah St., News10NBC crews saw investigators pointing up toward an apartment building. A nearby car was taped off as part of the investigation.
One scene developed directly in front of the News10NBC station on East Avenue. Officers focused on a black car for hours. Someone appeared to be in handcuffs. A flatbed truck towed away the black car around 5:30 a.m.
In some video from the scenes, fireworks could still be heard and seen going off.
New York State Police, Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies and Greece police were seen.
