Authorities in Kendall County are investigating after a woman was killed when a tree fell onto a camper at an RV resort during severe storms on the Fourth of July.
The incident was reported at around 3:12 p.m. at the Fox Creek RV Resort.
According to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a report of a tree that had fallen on a camper during severe weather. When deputies arrived, they learned a 47-year-old woman was the only person inside the trailer at the time.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives with the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and the Kendall County Coroner’s Office are investigating.
The woman’s name hadn’t been released as of Saturday evening.
