Stowe, 67, appeared in films like Stakeout and Unlawful Entry. However, it was her groundbreaking role as Cora opposite Lewis in Mohicans that catapulted her to superstardom. The film, an adaptation of James Fenimore Cooper's 1826 novel, is set during the French and Indian War and tells the epic love story of Hawkeye and Cora as they attempt to survive.

Stowe has an exciting new series that's scoring major ratings on Netflix. Based on Harlan Coben's novel of the same name, I Will Find You stars Sam Worthington, Britt Lower, Milo Ventimiglia, and Logan Browning.
"Wrongfully imprisoned for murdering his own son, a father sets out on a desperate rescue mission after learning the boy may still be alive," the official Netflix description reads.

Why Did Madeleine Stowe Step Back From Hollywood?
After her tremendous '90s fame, Stowe chose to take a break from Hollywood for a few years to be a mom. Instead of hanging out in California, Stowe and her husband, Brian Benben, chose to move to a ranch in Texas and raise their daughter. However, Stowe eventually came back and had a career resurgence with the hit TV series Revenge, in which she played Victoria Grayson.
Upon the conclusion of the show in 2015, Stowe reflected on the hit show's ending.
"To be honest, I don’t know that I ever will really be able say goodbye to Victoria. For me, she is a really hard character to shake," Stowe told PEOPLE. "I’m also at peace with saying goodbye. Though I will always think of those what-could-have-beens and how Victoria may have found happiness."
