ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – Hoopers from six to 60 and everything in between played in the famous Gus Macker tournament held in Rochester on Saturday.
The traveling tournament has been visiting cities for over five decades and Rochester is one of the stops this year, set up downtown in the parking lot at ESL Ballpark. Players are grouped into divisions based on age, gender, and skill level, making sure everyone can have fun along with the competition.
“I’ve actually played in it years back,” said Bam McDonald, who was coaching one of the younger groups this time around. “It would be nice if we get this thing every year.
