Simpson Opened Up About Getting Her Heart Broken
While Simpson looks great these days, she doesn’t hesitate to open up about the hard times, including her 2025 split from Johnson. In a recent Instagram post, she shared about heartbreak and explained that she feels right at home onstage, baring her soul to her concert-goers.
“As I go through my life and my heart gets broken inside of my safe places, I have learned to cling to these words that have become somewhat of a daily affirmation. ‘Home is a feeling, not a place,’ wrote Simpson, who praised her followers who “resurrected my purpose and have accepted me as I am! There is just no greater achievement than to be able to be seen and experienced as myself. I’m so lucky to vulnerably sing and chat with all of you who come to these shows!”
She concluded by thanking attendees for “making me feel loved and valued!”

While Simpson and John may have split, the duo is dedicated to their three children: Maxwell, 14, Ace, 12, and Birdie, 7. The trio are frequent faces on her social media and closely resemble their parents.
