Despite the various features, games, Apps, movies, music, and portability of modern smartphones, sometimes I want to enjoy video or gaming media on a bigger screen. I have tested a few AR glasses and have grown to enjoy the XREAL ONE Pro’s portable theater experience. The glasses provided a comfortable, extended viewing experience, with easy plug-and-play iPhone integration, a convenient USB-C to USB-C cable, and EDC portability. I loved the protective, clamshell-style case, but wished that they had included space for accessories. Thankfully, a quick Amazon search led me to the Casmilee Travel case for the XREAL One Pro (and other glasses).
The heather-black-colored hardshell travel case had an attractive visual and tactile outer surface. The case was divided into a smaller upper section (8 1/8 inches long by 4 1/2 inches wide by 1 1/4 inches thick) and a larger lower segment (8 1/8 inches long by 4 1/2 inches wide by 2 1/4 inches tall). When closed, the 7.4-ounce case measured 8 1/8 inches long, 4 1/2 inches wide, and 3 1/2 inches tall. The clamshell’s spine segment measured 3 7/8 inches long by 5/8 inches wide and had a nylon carry strap that measured 9/16 inches wide by 6 1/8 inches long. I appreciated the secure stitching of the spine and the integration of the carry handle into the spine’s edges. The case’s two segments were separated by an 18-inch zipper with dual metal zippers and rubberized “Casmilee” pulls.
The case’s zipper was of standard type, with a mild internal waterproofing layer but no external waterproofing. I appreciated the smooth zipper action, the easy-to-open/close mechanism, and the rubberized zipper pulls. I opened the case and found a light grey, soft, plush-lined, crystal-velvet layer. The top segment had a single compartment with a 7 1/8-inch-wide by 7/16-inch-tall elastic band and a 7 1/8-inch-wide by 1 3/4-inch-tall nylon mesh netting. The website suggested that the top chamber was designed for the XBeam Pro 3D camera. Unfortunately, I do not own an XBeam Pro 3D Camera to test the upper chamber. However, the cutout/chamber was large enough to hold an iPhone 17 Pro Max within an ESR Hybrid magnetic Case. Ultimately, I used the section to hold the power cable and the XREAL Hub.
You will find a 7-inch-long by 3 1/8-inch-wide by 3/8-inch-thick plush divider located between the upper and lower case segments. The divider was attached to the upper chamber via a 4-inch-long, 5/8-inch-wide velvet strip. The design provided protection and isolation for the contents of the upper chamber, while also folding down to serve as a door/flap to access the upper cubby’s contents. It served a dual purpose: protecting the upper and lower chambers while also functioning as an organizational divider and retention system.
The lower layer had two velvet-lined cubbies. The rear cutout measured approximately 6 3/4 inches long, 1 inch wide, and 1 7/8 inches deep. The chamber could hold the XREAL HUB and the power cable if desired. The front velvet-lined cutout was designed to securely hold the folded glasses. The chamber measured approximately 6 inches long and had a variable width/height based on the glasses’ measurements. The cutouts’ central region measured 1 5/8 inches wide and tapered to 1-inch wide at the edges. The chamber had a raised, velvet-lined segment for the glasses’ nosepiece with a hard-shell internal base; the design cradled the glasses and reduced rattling and movement when placed in the cavity. I added the Zooplan Full Light blocker for Xreal Pro glasses to the device, folded them, and found the chamber easily accommodated the duo. If you have not yet read my review of the TPU rubber light blocker, I would recommend picking up the accessory. My personal experience at 4* was better than the Amazon 3.5* average would support.
I loved the shock-absorbing hardshell case, the carry strap, smooth-actioned, semi-waterproof zipper, the soft velvet lining, the administrative organization opportunities, and the extra-thick velvet plush section divider. The case protected the glasses and solved one of the main limitations of its own case, which was the need to organize the accessories: cable, adapter, light blocker, etc. If you are looking to upgrade your XREAL One Pro glasses with a top-tier accessory, look to the Casmilee case. For those with other AR glasses, this setup should work with the XReal One/Pro/Air2/Air2Pro and RayNeo Air 3s/Pro Smart Glasses. Additionally, as mentioned above, the upper chamber will accommodate a Beam Pro 3D camera, while the plush divider will protect your camera and glasses.
Protect, keep, and carry your XREAL One Pro AR glasses and desired accessories within the stylish, hardshell Casmille carry case. I have placed the case within my backpack on a recent 5+ hour car trip to Louisville and Morehead, Kentucky, and for a recent plane trip to Boston, Massachusetts. I carried the Casmilee case inside my luggage (no included battery) during a 2-hour car trip to Nashville, Tennessee. Lastly, I had them within my luggage on a return flight from Boston, Massachusetts. I was pleased with the protective outer shell and with the case’s organization. I truly appreciated being able to carry the included power cable and XREAL glasses in the same case. After spending a month with this case, I imagine XREAL would greatly benefit from adopting this style over their included glasses case. I 3D-printed cable shirt clips and speaker extenders with my Bambu Labs A1 printer, and found space for both in the upper chamber.
