Can you go 20-0? Assemble your Rams football legends. Answers revealed!

Over the last several months, “20-0” has become one of the most popular trivia and roster-building games among football fans. The concept is simple: build the perfect team by selecting players who fit specific categories, requirements, or clues. The challenge comes from finding the right answers without repeating selections and proving your football knowledge along the way.

For fans of Turf Show Times, we put a Rams spin on the growing phenomenon.

This wasn’t about fantasy football projections or statistical debates. In fact, we made things a little tougher for the Gridiron IQ crowd. No statistics were included. No career totals. No Pro Bowl counts. Just your football memory was tested, your knowledge of Rams history, and your ability to construct the ultimate roster.

    The question was simple:

Were you able build a Rams team that would go 20-0?

Fill out the offense with the following positions: QB, RB, WR, TE, FLEX, and FLEX.

Fill out the defense with the following positions: DT, LB, EDGE, CB, S, and FLEX.

(*For the sake of this version, you could not select the same player twice if their name appeared again*)

Spoiler Alert below! If you have not yet taken the 20-0 test, try here: Can you go 20-0?!

    Here were the 12 rounds:

    Round 1 – Offense (2006 – 2010)

    QB – Marc Bulger (2006)

    RB – Stephen Davis (2006)

    WR – Isaac Bruce (2006)

    TE – Randy McMichael (2007)

    TE – Billy Bajema (2010)

Most popular selection: Isaac Bruce, WR (38%)

Correct Answer: Steven Jackson, RB (25%)

Jackson was a monster in 2006. 1528 rushing yards, 13 rushing TDs, 90 receptions, 806 receiving yards, 3 TDs. Pro Bowl and 2nd Team All Pro.

    Round 2 – Offense (2011 – 2015)

    QB – Sam Bradford (2012)

Most popular selection: Todd Gurley (83%)

    Correct Answer: Todd Gurley (83%)

The Rams offense was pretty anemic from 2011-2015 but the lone bright spot was Todd Gurley in his rookie year. Gurley rushed for 1100 yards and 10 TDs en route to Offensive Rookie of the Year and 2nd Team All Pro. With two starting FLEX spots, Gurley grabs the first one.

    Round 3 – Offense (1961 – 1967)

    QB – Bill Munson (1964)

    QB – Roman Gabriel (1967)

    RB – Les Josephson (1967)

    WR – Tommy McDonald (1965)

    WR – Bernie Casey (1967)

    TE – Red Phillips (1961)

    TE – Marlin McKeever (1964)

Most popular selection: Roman Gabriel, QB (50%)

    Correct Answer: Red Phillips (20%)

You had to go back to 1961 for this exercise. Phillips had 78 receptions, 1092 receiving yards, and 5 TDs and was named First Team All Pro at the tight end position.

    Round 4 – Offense (2021 – 2025)

Most popular selection: Matthew Stafford (48%)

    Correct Answer: Matthew Stafford (48%)

This list definitely had some strong contenders. Kyren Williams had 1200+ rushing yards and double digit TDs. Cooper Kupp’s 2021 triple crown might seem like the right choice but Matthew Stafford’s 46 touchdowns to just 8 interceptions is just too much value. He captured 2025 MVP honors and was a First Team All Pro.

    Round 5 – Offense (1999 – 2005)

    QB – Kurt Warner (1999)

    QB – Marc Bulger (2004)

    RB – Marshall Faulk (2000)

    RB – Lamar Gordon (2003)

    RB – Steven Jackson (2005)

    WR – Az-Zahir Hakim (1999)

    WR – Isaac Bruce (2000)

    TE – Roland Williams (1999)

    TE – Ernie Conwell (2001)

Most popular selection: Marshall Faulk (50%)

    Correct Answer: Marshall Faulk (50%)

This group was loaded with talent. Warner won MVP in 1999 but with Matthew Stafford already selected, we had to pivot. Steven Jackson had not quite emerged yet in 20o5. Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt dominated the WR position in 2000 and 2003 but the 2000 Marshall Faulk stood above the rest with 2189 scrimmage yards and 26 total touchdowns. With a second FLEX spot available, Faulk takes that role – a true depiction of his on field ability.

    Round 6 – Offense (2016 – 2020)

    RB – Todd Gurley (2017)

    WR – Cooper Kupp (2019)

    TE – Tyler Higbee (2019)

Most popular selection: Cooper Kupp (56%)

    Correct Answer: Cooper Kupp (56%)

With Gurley already the answer for Round 2, his name could not be used again. And with no WR taken up this point, one had to be selected. The Rams WRs in 2018 and 2019 were still quality contributors. Cooper Kupp still produced 1100 receiving yards and 10 TDs despite the Rams not making the playoffs in 2019.

    Round 7 – Defense (2011 – 2015)

    DE / EDGE – William Hayes (2012)

    S – Quintin Mikell (2011)

Most popular selection: Aaron Donald (69%)

Correct Answer: Robert Quinn (23%) or Janoris Jenkins (8%)

Remember the year matters. Aaron was in his second season and you could only select his name once…good things for those that wait. I actually allowed two different answers for this question. Janoris Jenkins or Robert Quinn. Both were very elite during their year designations. Jenkins had 73 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 4 interceptions, 3 interceptions returned for TD, 1 fumble recovery, 1 fumble recovery for TD, and 14 passes defensed. Quinn on the other hand broke out in 2013 with 19 sacks and was 4th in DPOY voting and a First Team All Pro.

    Round 8 – Defense (1999 – 2005)

    DT – D’Marco Farr (1999)

    DT – Brian Young (2001)

    DE / EDGE – Kevin Carter (1999)

    DE / EDGE – Grant Winstrom (1999)

    DE / EDGE – Leonard Little (2001)

    LB – London Fletcher (2000)

    CB – Dexter McCleon (2000)

    CB – Aeneas Williams (2001)

    S – Adam Archuleta (2002)

Most popular selection: London Fletcher (41%)

    Correct Answer: Kevin Carter (15%)

One name stood above the others here. Dexter McCleon put up a valient effort with 8 interceptions in the 2000 season and Mike Jones had 68 tackles, 4 interceptions, 2 interceptions returned for TD, 1 sack, 2 fumbles forced, and 2 fumble recoveries. But… Kevin Carter’s 17 sack season in 1999 earned First Team All Pro and allowed him to finish 3rd in defensive player of the year voting.

    Round 9 – Defense (2021 – 2025)

    DT – Aaron Donald (2021)

Most popular selection: Jalen Ramsey (55%)

    Correct Answer: Jalen Ramsey (55%)

If you rolled the dice and waited to take Aaron Donald…again…, you had a shot to form the perfect team. Jalen Ramsey offered First Team All Pro ability for the cornerback spot. 77 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 17 passes defensed, 4 interceptions, 1 fumble forced, and 1 fumble recovery were irresistible.

    Round 10 – Defense (2016 – 2020)

    DT – Michael Brockers (2017)

    DT – Aaron Donald (2018)

    S – John Johnson (2018)

Most popular selection: Aaron Donald (77%)

    Correct Answer: Aaron Donald (77%)

This is the moment. If you waited, you were rewarded. Donald’s 2018 season was unlike any other for a defensive tackle. With 20.5 sacks, Donald gave quarterbacks, offensive lines, and offensive coordinators nightmares from this year on.

    Round 11 – Defense (2006 – 2010)

    DT – La’Roi Glover (2007)

    DT – Clifton Ryan (2009)

    DT – Fred Robbins (2010)

    DE / EDGE – Leonard Little (2006)

    DE / EDGE – James Hall (2010)

    DE / EDGE – Chris Long (2010)

    LB – Will Witherspoon (2007)

    LB – James Laurinitis (2010)

    CB – Ron Bartell (2008)

    S – Corey Chavous (2007)

Most popular selection: Chris Long (44%)

    Correct Answer: O.J. Atogwe (19%)

With the safety position still vacant, we added the ballhawk O.J. Atogwe. Atogwe’s 8 inteceptions in 2007 was probably the only bright spot that year and really during that era.

    Round 12 – Defense (1981 – 1990)

    DT – Mike Fanning (1982)

    DT – Shawn Miller (1986)

    DT – Alvin Wright (1989)

    DE / EDGE – Jack Youngblood (1981)

    DE / EDGE – Reggie Doss (1984)

    DE / EDGE – Gary Jeter (1988)

    LB – Mike Wilcher (1985)

    LB – Kevin Greene (1989)

    CB – LeRoy Irvin (1986)

    S – Nolan Cromwell (1981)

    S – Johnnie Johnson (1985)

Most popular selection: Jack Youngblood (79%)

    Correct Answer: Kevin Greene (11%)

A lot of Jack Youngblood fans were fooled as his 1981 season only yielded 11.5 sacks. In comparison, Kevin Greene’s 1989 season featured 64 tackles and 16.5 sacks and a 2nd Team All Pro nod. Filling the linebacker spot with Greene’s value was simply too good.
