May 29-31, 2026 Morgan Hill, CA LCM (50 Meters) Full Meet Results Available on Meet Mobile: “2026 George Haines International Swim Meet”Last month, the George Haines International Meet wrapped up on May 31st, and Santa Clara Swim Club’s Shareef Elaydi swam six events at his final meet as a 16-year-old before he turned 17 earlier this month.
He made his mark on the season rankings in his last chance as a 15-16, setting a new personal best time in the 50 breaststroke of 28.43, which is the top time in the country for 15-16-year-old boys this season. He came in eight hundredths ahead of Wilson York‘s 28.51, which he swam in March at the Speedo Sectionals meet in Indianapolis.
Elaydi also moved up the rankings in the 100 breaststroke, winning the event in 1:03.06 to set the 4th fastest time in the country this season for his age group, and in both butterfly events. In the 50 fly, he swam 25.22 and in the 100 fly he swam 55.43 to set the 14th fastest time in the nation this season in both events.
He was off his best times in all three events, with his 100 breaststroke best time coming in at 1:01.90, his 50 fly best at 25.05, and his 100 fly best at 53.45.
While Elaydi dominated the 50 and 100 breaststroke events, Go Nagaoka, who just wrapped up his sophomore year at Stanford University, won the men’s 200 breaststroke in 2:11.91, a new personal best time in the event.
Santa Clara Swim Club 16-year-old Zen Hyodo finished 2nd in all three breaststroke events, and picked up a few top-20 age group times of his own with all personal best times. In the 50 breaststroke, he swam 29.30 to set the 7th fastest time in the country this season for his age group. In the 100 breast, he swam 1:04.78 for the 15th fastest time, and in the 200 breast, he swam 2:21.56 to set the 19th fastest time.
Aiden Zhou, a Santa Clara Swim Club 16-year-old, set two season best times of 23.83 in the 50 free and 51.49 in the 100 free. His 50 free time moves him up to 18th in the 15-16 rankings this season and his 100 free time moves him to 7th.
On the girls’ side of the meet, Aya-Gillis Pade set three top-20 times in the 13-14 girls age group, in her last meet as a 14-year-old. She swam 29.54 to set a personal best in the 50 backstroke en route to finishing 2nd overall. This is the top time in the country this season for 13-14 girls. She is the only 13-14-year-old to swim under 30 seconds so far this year with Jade Lyles sitting in 2nd at 30.01.
She swam 2:06.86 to finish 3rd in the 200 freestyle final, moving up to 11th in the country in her age group this season. This was a season best time, but was about a second off her lifetime best of 2:05.79, which she set last July.
In the 400 free, she swam 4:25.89, about two seconds off her best of 4:24.05 from July of 2025. Her swim still moved her up to 8th in the country this season.
Santa Clara Swim Club 16-year-old Isabel Wu also had a strong meet. She swam season best times in the 200 fly and 200 IM. In the 200 fly, she swam 2:15.27 to set the 8th fastest 15-16 time in the country this season, and in the 200 IM, she swam 2:19.32 for the 18th ranked 200 IM time.
Both swims were off her lifetime bests of 2:15.03 and 2:17.78 for the 200 fly and 200 IM respectively. She is committed to Princeton for the fall of 2027.
