The Giza Governorate announced a temporary partial and complete closure of some entrances and exits to the 6th of October Bridge within the governorate’s boundaries, to carry out expansion and development work.
All work will be carried out during the specified periods from one am to five am.
First: Partial Closures
Eissa Hamdi exit (Agouza) – For those coming from Cairo towards Kit Kat: The closure will be two days from Wednesday, June 24, to Thursday, June 25 due to joint maintenance, then three days from Saturday, July 18, to Monday, July 20 for asphalt resurfacing. Nawal entrance (Ezz El Arab) – For those coming from the Agricultural Museum Street towards Cairo: The closure will be two days from Sunday, June 28, to Monday, June 29 due to joint maintenance, then three days from Sunday, July 12, to Tuesday, July 14 for asphalt resurfacing. Corniche entrance (from Kit Kat towards Cairo): Three day closure from Wednesday, June 24, to Friday, June 26. Corniche entrance (from Galaa Square to Cairo): Three day closure from Saturday, June 27 to Monday, June 29.Second: Complete Closure and Traffic Diversions
October Bridge exit leading to Nile Street and Galaa Square: Friday, July 10. Diversion: Drive to the Corniche exit (towards Kit Kat), then make a U-turn in front of the Police Hospital and return to Nile Street. Shaheen exit (leading to the Agricultural Museum Street): Friday, July 17. Diversion: Continue on the bridge and use the exit to al-Batal Ahmed Abdel-Aziz Street to reach the Agricultural Museum Street.The Giza General Traffic Department coordinated with the implementing company to place directional and lighting signs and assign the necessary traffic services to secure traffic flow and ensure the safety of citizens.
