ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 20-year-old man has pleaded guilty to his charges related to a 2025 deadly shooting on Spencer Street.
Dhymere Bailey pleaded guilty Tuesday to second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon for killing a 39-year-old woman.
Rochester Police say they found Sandra Blanding dead from a gunshot wound to the torso on Spencer Street near Lyell Avenue in March 2025.
Officers discovered the gunshot wound while performing first aid. They believe she was shot at least 30 minutes before her body was discovered.

Bailey was arrested on March 21, 2025, by RPD’s Tactical Unit. Around that same time, Blanding’s family and friends held a balloon release to honor her memory.

Bailey will be sentenced in July and is expected to be sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.
