Honey and Billy Mitchell's (Emma Barton and Perry Fenwick) marriage is in tatters in EastEnders.
It comes following yesterday's epic cliffhanger, which saw their former lodger Bea Pollard (Ronni Ancona) accuse him of trying to lure her into bed.
Of course, as we viewers know, this isn't true. Bea is nothing more than a fantasist and a home wrecker, who has used artificial intelligence to support her vile claims.
Back in April, Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) had crafted some software that would allow Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) to reconnect with his son Anthony, and speak with him from beyond the grave.
Bea's interest was piqued, and headed home to find a similar program that could manipulate Billy's voice. Speaking into her phone, she asked the fake version to repeat a ridiculous sentence: "I am Billy Mitchell, and I am a prize sausage."
Realising that he frowned upon her friendship with Honey – and who can blame him, given she committed fraud by obtaining a credit card in her name – Bea executed a cruel plot last week.
She crafted a dating profile for the market trader, and made a number of fake voice notes that supported her claims.
In today's episode, Honey and the Queen Vic regulars were stunned by Bea's admission. Billy protested his innocence, saying that he would never be unfaithful to his wife.
He'd made things worse by asking cousin Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) to pay Bea to leave Walford, which only seemed to intensify what she deemed as "guilt".
An argument ensued back at No. 18, though Honey couldn't come to a conclusion about what had happened. Phil promised to sort things for Billy, seeking to find evidence that would prove that the voice notes weren't actually him.
Bea, meanwhile, was delighting in the fact Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) had found the dating profile, which helped to cement her claims. She quickly told the Albert Square gossip shop, Kim Fox (Tameka Empson), and the two headed to inform Honey.
She was mortified, and unsure of what to believe, ended her relationship with Billy. Their son Will (Freddie Phillips) and Janet (Grace) were present, and headed upstairs to escape the nightmarish situation.
Bea took great joy in seeing what was happening, and had even confessed to Billy that she'd set him up. But despite his protests, Honey just wasn't in a position to believe him.
That night, she asked Bea to move back into the house while she tried to rebuild her life. After Honey headed up to bed, Bea produced a number of crocheted dolls of the Mitchell family – cutting the head off Billy's, and replacing him with her own.
Outside, Billy sobbed as he looked at his family home.
When will Bea's lies unravel?
